What A Black Belt Means To Me by Ally Ventura

This is what black belt means to me

Amerikick Black belt means that you have gotten better at kicks, punches, and more. It means that you are able to defend yourself and know when to use karate. I think when you get your black belt you shouldn’t get it handed to you, you have to earn it. Which means you have to give %110 effort all the time and be responsible and be at class on time. To me a black belt means you have worked hard to reach your goal and be advanced at karate.

It means that you have been respectful to the senseis and been to class on time and preformed your katas and self defense techniques correctly. It means that you have been listening when the sensei was talking and did what he asked.

Using Weapons in Amerikick Black belt

You have learned how to spar and use weapons like kamas, nunchucks, and bo staff. Black belt means to me that you can be alert and be quick to respond if someone tries to hurt you. It means that you can have muscle memory so if someone tries to punch you, you can quickly block and do the moves that you have learned. It means you have practiced at home and dedicated your time and energy to earn your black belt.

It means you have demonstrated  modesty, courtesy, integrity, self-control, perseverance, and indomitable spirit. To me, Amerikick Black belt means that you have improved on all of your karate and are moving to the next level. It also means to me that you are now an example to the other kids and are a leader and do what you know is right. Black belt means that you do not randomly go up to someone and punch them you only fight back if they start the fight and you are defending yourself so he or she won’t hurt you.

Black belt also means to me that you are able to teach the class. For example the sensei wants you to go up to the front and perform a kata step by step and name all the moves and you can do it. Black belt also means that you can answer questions about kicks, punches, and more. Also black belt means that if you are performing in front of someone without your belt and they don’t know you are a black belt they can tell you are a black belt by your performance.

Black belt means that you have impressed the judges and made them satisfied with your performance and they made you pass. Amerikick Black belt means to me that you have listened to the senseis so you can perform whatever your performing correctly. That is what black belt means to me.
